Hi! I’m a new mom. My name is Ali Woodward, but my family calls me Baba (Ali Baba). I have decided to quit my job as a flight attendant to be a stay-at-home mom.
New mom life has been quite the adjustment. I used to travel the country and speak to people, all day long, from all nationalities. Until now, I spend countless hours at home mimicking my child’s screeches as if we have an actual conversation. The rest of my time is spent googling “how to”, “is this okay” and “is there something wrong with my child”. In other words, my life has drastically changed.
Now that I have mastered living sleep deprived and rarely leaving my home, I’ve decided to put my daily efforts towards something good or at least a somewhat intellectual hobby. Blogging.
I am no professional — just a new mom surviving, with goals of thriving and attempting to do right by the tiny human I decided to create. I enjoy researching and explaining my findings, not because I know more but because I genuinely find what I read interesting.
As a result, I delve into my moment in life, e.g., I thought I wanted to be a midwife when I was pregnant. Here I am now full-time moming. I have read entire forums looking for the one person with the one baby similar to mine. I’m fully aware that every person, child, mother, family, and situation is different. However, if any new mom is searching for answers I’ll gladly share what has worked for me.
Other than being a new mom I am also yoga certified. I love a delicious meal, a travel experience and an adventurous walk in nature. I live in Texas with my husband, our new baby boy, and two dogs, Punky and Bruce.
Thank you for taking the time to get to know me. I hope that you stay tuned and I can get to know you as well.
