In celebration of World Smile Day, I’m featuring Curtis Kids Pediatric Dentistry. With each visit, they are sure to put a smile on you and your kid’s face! I have an 18-month-old and have already had the privilege of visiting twice, so I want to share with you what you can expect on a visit to Curtis Kids Dentistry.
Upon arrival, you will be greeted by a very friendly staff. At Curtis Kids Dentistry, they expedite the process by sending you your paperwork ahead of time. I feel pressured filling out paperwork in a waiting room so it’s nice to have it finished before arrival. Especially, because this waiting room is something to enjoy!
Curtis Kids’ epic waiting room
Your kids will not want to leave! What a way to create happy memories of the Dentist for kids!? Besides the cool toys, rotating books, and holiday decor they even have an area where the kiddos can color and display their work.
Let’s not forget the adult-only lounge with a comfy couch and coffee bar!
Exam Rooms
Having such a young baby we did not use the exam rooms, but they are brightly colored with artwork by each of the Curtis’ own kids. I’ll be sure to update this post when we upgrade rooms.
This is the room used for babies. I didn’t take a picture of the exam. It is very quick and easy. You hold your baby and Dr Ben Curtis looks and cleans baby’s teeth right there in your lap! He will talk about tips for brushing at home and weening night feeds to keep their teeth healthy and clean.
The lactation consult and tongue tie exam room.
Dr. Curtis is well-versed in tongue ties and frequently trains other dentists around the US. When I had trouble breastfeeding he did an exam and found there wasn’t an issue with Lenox’s tongue. Had there been, I would have had no fear moving forward with care from Dr. Curtis.
The fun isn’t over..
Don’t forget to take photos with the murals and the always-changing balloon arch before you leave Curtis Kids Dentistry!
Overall we have a great experience every time we walk into the Curtis Kids Dentistry in Canton, TX.
Dr. Ben Curtis DDS and his wife Rachel Curtis are high school sweethearts and have four children. Ben has always wanted to be a dentist and together they dreamed of building a practice back in East Texas where they are from.
In 2022, they opened their doors to Curtis Kids Dentistry where they could support and pour into their home community that poured into them.
Thanks Dr. Curtis!
