The time has finally come to one of my most anticipated days of the year – our Post Malone concert in Dallas, Texas at the Dos Equis Pavilion, Fair Park. When I mentioned to Logan that he was coming to Dallas I never imagined he’d buy us tickets to go! Much to my surprise, he did and for that, I am so thankful.
Having a kiddo I suppose attending a concert isn’t that difficult – it’s easier than going on vacation. So when we asked my parents to stay the night and be around for Lenox if he wakes up it was an easy yes for them. My mother said it was the “easiest babysitting job” she’d ever had.
But let me back up.
Saturday came. My parents arrived early so we could get ready. Right before we left I kissed my little man goodbye and gave my mom last-minute tips as she carried him up to bed.
Excitement ran through us as we drove to the concert. I played Post Malone for us to amp up the excitement as if we needed it.
We purchased a spot in the VIP parking lot. A true must if you want to avoid crowds when leaving the concert! But the gentleman scanning our ticket told us we bought it for the wrong day. Oops. Well, he let us in any way and we carried on.
However when we got to the entrance and our tickets wouldn’t scan! Lo and behold we purchased our tickets for a different day as well! Luckily it was for the next night and we hadn’t missed our chance to see Post Malone in Dallas, Texas.
Tails between our legs we scurried back to our car and devised a babysitting plan for Sunday night.
With Logan’s mom’s very recent surgery, she was out of commission. Luckily his dad is very willing to help.
With next evening’s concert date planned, we decided to use our current situation as a date night to an old fave, La Calle Doce.
We finally made it to the Post Malone concert
Sunday came. Our tickets worked! and we had an amazing night!
We arrived early and enjoyed nachos and a pulled pork sandwich.
The thing I love most about Post Malone is how nice he is. Grateful for his fans, he often accepts and wears things given to him by the audience. He typically lets someone, each show, play the guitar during the song Stay.
During our show, he even did someone’s gender reveal.
His main message is to be yourself and follow through with your dreams. He says he was often bullied, but he never gave up.
An eventful weekend for us and our silly screw-up ended up being a blessing in disguise. Since we don’t typically enjoy a meal without our little guy. Post Malone did not disappoint at his Dallas, Texas concert. I’m happy I can now say I have seen him live.
Have you ever shown up to a concert, or a similar situation, on the wrong day?
