Update to 2024: Moving, Grooving and Total Adjustments

What’s been going on in our lives:

We moved and we have been ferociously unpacking. Penny has turned 8 months old and I can’t believe where the time has gone.

Some affiliate links in this post may pay me, but it does not lessen my honest opinions. All statements about said items are true to my fullest sentiment.

Since we thought it unnecessary to move brother into a toddler bed BEFORE the move, we have spoiled Penny to my bed or a bassinet.. So now we are in a whole adjustment period with brother in his new bed and sister moving to his crib.

For the first bit, Lenox adjusted well, but he has since figured out he can open the door and enjoy Mom and Dad’s TV time alone and their snacks. Sister is used to sleeping with me using me as a pacifier so she wakes up every three hours and does not enjoy being laid down. Stay tuned for the remedy..

But for now, here is Lenox’s new bed.

I want to have a fun/learning space for Lenox in his room so I purchased this shelf.

He was so excited to organize ALL his trucks when he first saw it so we will see how my original plan turns out. For now, at least he’s excited and we have a bit of organization going on.

Lenox goes to school three days a week for socialization and learning. He loves to learn! He has started at a new school and I’m not sure he is adjusting so well. He never wants to go to school and when I peek in, the class is very chaotic.

I know at this age to expect this, but it seems much more than usual – almost dangerous at times. Lenox isn’t participating in the chaos when I peek in either so it makes me think this isn’t the environment for him.

My best friend and I can easily see each other (between wake windows). Since she has a baby Penny’s age we are going through similar things together – which is nice for us both! When either one of us needs a sanity break from our homes we can pop over to the other’s house. Today she fed me lunch and turned me on to these electrolytes, which I think will help my tiredness throughout the day without drinking so much caffeine.

Logan and I are simply loving a more chill life; filled with friends with kids just doing the parent thing.

I look forward to sewing more clothes for the kids and making fun activities for them, but most free time is spent unboxing and organizing. Quite honestly we need a massive garage sale!
